Interest will begin to accrue as soon as your funds are successfully deposited into your Fort Knox Savings Account. However, keep in mind that it may take a little time for the transfer to be fully processed and available.
Monthly Maintenance Fee
A maintenance fee of $10 per month will be imposed on the 1st of each month on accounts which have an average monthly balance under $1,000 for the prior month. Monthly maintenance fees are charged to the Fort Knox account balance.
Maintenance fees are not charged until a savings account has been open for at least 30 days. If the account is less than 30 days old at the start of a new month and did not meet the $1,000 average balance threshold for the prior month, no maintenance fee will be charged. The fee will only apply starting in the second month in which the average balance remains below $1,000.
A minimum $100 deposit is required to open a Fort Knox Savings Account.
Transaction Fees
There are no fees associated with the transfer of funds between Fort Knox and your linked funding account.
Designed solely as a safe way to store your savings, Fort Knox accounts do not carry fees usually associated with typical transactional accounts.
