Overview
Fort Knox High-Security Savings Accounts exist in two primary states; Protected and Lockdown™ Status.
Protected Status
When your Fort Knox account is in Protected status, Fort Knox is actively monitoring your linked external bank account for potential risks. You can move money in and out freely with limited restrictions.
Lockdown™ Status
When we're no longer able to monitor your linked external account – due to a connection issue or a change at your bank – your account will be placed in Lockdown.
If your account enters Lockdown™, you may still receive normal deposits, but you must re-link an external bank account to withdraw funds from your Fort Knox account.
