"I'd like to transfer my life savings across the globe in seconds."
- No one ever
Speed is a friend of fraud
At Fort Knox, your security is our top priority – so we've reconsidered how your savings moves.
While many apps and services offer instant transfers for convenience, that same speed can be exploited by scammers to move money out of your account before you even know it’s gone.
That’s why Fort Knox does not support instant transfers.
Why do transfers remain pending?
To protect your funds, all withdrawals are held in a pending state for two business days before any money is moved. This intentional delay serves as a safeguard against fraud and unauthorized activity.
During this window, Fort Knox will notify you and in the background monitor the transaction for signs of unusual behavior or mismatched account details, stopping fraud before it gets even gets its shoes on.
How will I know a transfer is pending?
We’ll notify you as soon as a transfer request is initiated giving you ample time to review and cancel if necessary.
These notifications are delivered through your preferred communication channels (email, app alerts, or both).
What should I do if something looks off?
If you receive a transfer notification that you don’t recognize:
- Pause and review the details carefully.
- Log into your Fort Knox app and cancel the transaction if you don't recognize it.
- For extra safety, you can Freeze your account from the Security Center, blocking all transfers in or out until you decide to un-freeze it.
By prioritizing protection over speed, Fort Knox ensures that your money stays exactly where it belongs—in your hands.
